Synopsis

In this episode of A Color Rhapsody, the blackboard drawings of a school setting come alive, as the characters on screen gather together for class. This Columbia classroom tale features a jungle sequence, musical segment and a story-within-a-story structure, differentiated by the style of the cartoon world and the ‘blackboard’ world within. Featuring representations of stereotypical ‘natives’ and blackboard-style stick-figure drawings, this cartoon utilizes the ‘blackboard’ concept to create visually dynamic movements and contrasts not normally observed by drawing on white.
