Biography


Warren Batchelder began his career working on short animated films in 1938. He worked for Warner Brothers, animating for Robert McKimson and Bob Clampett, and eventually became a master animator in 1958. At Warner Brothers, he worked as animator on cartoons such as The Bugs Bunny Show (1962; 1971), The Road Runner Show (1966) and The Sylvester and Tweety Show (1976)He also animated cartoons for DePatie-Freleng Enterprises including The Pink Panther Show (1969), and for Hanna-Barberra Productions, such as Super Friends (1980). He later worked as an animation director on the television series Dungeons and Dragons (1984-1985) and Muppet Babies (1984-1988), and as a sequence director on the television series The Transformers (1984-1987), and G.I. Joe (1985-1986). Batchelder also created animated commercials for brands including Star Kist, Pink Panther Flakes, and Burger Chef and Jeff. He retired in 2002.

Honors and awards


He was awarded the Animation Guild Golden Award in 1987.
