Description

Alla Gadassik is a media scholar, teacher and maker who primarily explores the question of “what happens when we are making moving images?” Through looking at a wide variety of motion media, the role of bodily movement and gesture in filmmaking techniques, Gadassik seeks to understand the relationships between motion, media and viewer: how one “moves” an image, and how in turn one can be “moved” by it. As she is particularly interested in the role of the maker, Gadassik has also been involved in creating several films, which are viewable on her website.
