Description

This book is the story of the first eight years (1920-1928) of Disney’s career. The book is divided into two parts. In the first part the authors provide a critical overview  of Disney’s work in the silent era, a free-form speculation on the most important qualities of Disney’s silent work. In the second part, the authors revert to a detailed historical account of Disney’s studio activities. They set forth a large body of previously uncollected information within the context of the Disney’s studio’s economic and artistic development. Drawing from business papers, promotional materials, scripts, drawings and correspondence, the authors chronicle what is known about Disney’s silent film career.
