He took a number of important directorial positions at the studio, directing a few of Disney’s most important early animated shorts. He went on to hold an explosive position running Van Beuren Studios, working in the business until labour trouble in 1940.
Les Clark was the first animator to join the famous team called “Disney’s Nine Old Men,” and became a key person in the development of Mickey Mouse. He worked on numerous famous Disney features, and was the longest continuously employed member of the Walt Disney Studio.
