In this article several women working in the animation industry describe balancing their careers with their family lives. It describes issues working mothers face in the industry such as access to childcare, returning to work after maternity leave, and finding work to support their families.
The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum is an archive and blog which covers the history of women’s rights in America. Its mission is to someday create a distinct space for women’s history within the Smithsonian complex in Washington, D.C. Women’s history had previously been lacking as part of the Smithsonian due to underfunding of research and development on women’s issues, and women still do not have a dedicated museum there.
