Biography


Glackens debuted as a cartoonist at Puck in the 1890’s. After the magazine was sold in 1914, Glackens found employment at Barré Studio and Bray Productions, where he worked as an animator on the Mutt and Jeff series, and as a director on Goldwyn-Bray Pictographs. He also worked as a book illustrator for The Log of the Water Wagon, and Monsieur and Madame, and as a creator of advertisements for Samuel Sorenson Adams.
