His early works include the unreleased experimental film\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Shikaar<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Hunt<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, 1934),\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Superman Myth<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(1939), and\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Emergency Telephone<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(1950), the latter two both produced by G. S. Pohekar&#8217;s Indian Cartoon Pictures. (Sen, 1999)\u00a0He worked as chief animator at All India Productions during World War II, and after the Colonial Film Unit (CFU) was created,\u00a0Gokhale became the chief animator at All India Productions, which was run by G. S. Pohekar. During his time at All India Productions, Gokhale&#8217;s work primarily consisted of creating animated inserts for Information Films of India (IFI). According to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Anitha Balachandran and Timothy Jones, Gokhane\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">completed around\u00a05,000 feet\u00a0of animation within a\u00a0two-year\u00a0period.
