Biography
Taiji Serushita graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts and studied photography. He is a pioneer of Japanese animation. After graduation, he joined the filming department of Matsuktake Co. Ltd. in 1925. Later, he worked in the film production equipment of the Provincial Bureau of Social Education of the Ministry of Education in 1927. He founded his own animation company in 1956, Dongying Animation Co. Ltd. In 1970 he started to teach Photography at Tokyo Deanna Institute and Tokyo Photo Professional School.
