Synopsis
An animated short from season four, episode eight of Sesame Street, a young girl is instructed by her mother to purchase a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter from the grocery store.
Reception:
Following its release, the short gained popularity, and the girl and its phrases were referenced on many occasions on Sesame Street. A similar animation by Sesame Street featured a boy tasked with buying a loaf of bread for his mother and getting distracted along the way. A remake of ‘I Can Remember’ debuted in season 43, episode three (2012).
